Final Fantasy 12 Bestiary
In final fantasy, you get a special item called a primer, which becomes available in the main menu. The primer has many features, but one of the best is the Bestiary option. A Bestiary is a recording of all monsters in the world that you have encountered and killed. Many monsters have similar looks and abilities, but each one has a different story to it. One kind may be an undead creature who is a tortured soul lashing out, while another may be a cursed soul that just enjoys causing misery.
Each monster has a different name and background story, and all monsters, even bosses and special "Hunt Monsters" Are recorded. Hunts are special monsters that are assigned to you by a hunter in a special guild you find early on in the game. They begin as really weak monsters, and can be incredibly strong or weak as the hunts progress.
